Why did you start up a blog?
My passion for all things beauty related started when I was younger. I started watching youtube videos and following beauty blogs, and always thought..I can do that! After getting bogged down from being a full-time nursing student and mommy, I needed a creative outlet. Thats when I finally took the plunge and started Beauty By Ren :)
What's your inspiration for posts?
I get inspiration everywhere. Sometimes I will be walking through the grocery store, and some blog idea will pop into my head! All record it in a note on my phone, and work on it later on.
Do you have any New Year's resolutions?
I plan on trying to eat a more balanced diet, and be a more patient mommy.
What is the best thing about blogging?
The best thing about blogging for me is that its a little spot on the internet that I can rave about a product I'm obsessed with, with likeminded people. I love that! Some people just don't really want to hear about how moisturizing my lipstick is hah.
Have you got any holidays planned?
Not currently.
What is you favourite make-up brand?
Laura Mercier! She genius, I absolutely love all of her products!
Do you prefer reading fashion or beauty posts?
Beauty posts! Sadly I don't have much sense of style. I'm more of a cut off shorts, and boots kinda girl.
What is a staple in your skin care routine?
hmmm.. probably my PCA Skin BPO 5% Cleanser. It does a great job cleansing and removing any left over makeup from my skin without drying it out.
What was your best buy from 2012?
Best buy of 2012 (beauty related) would be my MAC soft ochre paint pot. Its something I use everyday. (a general buy) My new Michael Kors rose gold watch!
Did you get any bargains during the sales?
I'm a horrible shopper.... I don't have the patience to look around :/ So not much.
What advice would you give to new bloggers?
Just keep blogging! Twitter, guest post, and blog buttons are helpful to introduce your blog to new readers.

I really want to try the PCA Skin BPO 5% Cleanser but I have no idea where to find it :( Rose gold watches are so beautiful, I am loving the style at the moment!
ReplyDeleteMy dermatologist carries it in her office, but prices it about $10 above the online price. So I purchase it from the dermstore.com :) And I had my eye on the rose gold watches forever, I'm so happy I finally got it! xx
