MAC Paint Pots (here) $18.50 can be used as a eye primer, base (for powder/pigments), or just as a creme eyeshadow. These creamy, soft, buildible pots have been a wonderful well-used addition in my makeup collection. I use paint pots as a base color to intensify eyeshadow colors. I don't wear a primer underneath any of the paint pots because I find they are long-wearing, and don't crease.
>Soft Ochre- a yellow beige (cream) is the first paint pot I ever purchased, and definitely my most used! Soft Ochre is great color corrector for the veins/redness on my lids, leaving me the perfect canvas to apply eyeshadow. This has been an absolute fav of mine for about 8 months.
My favorite way to apply: This is perfect worn alone on my lids with liner and mascara, or used to extend the wear time of other eyeshadows, and intensify there color.
>Bare Study- a soft beige with golden pearl (frost). I purchased this gem after getting my makeup done at mac a few months ago. Bare study is sheer and ultra frosty, alone on my lids it doesn't add much color. However, because its light frosty sheen its beautiful under eyeshadows to make them pop.
My favorite ways to apply: I love applying this all over the lid with my hoola bronzer in the crease, liner and mascara. Also, I've been applying this all over my lid with MAC Soft & Gentle over the lid for a gorgeous all over champaign look. For night, I will darken up the crease and outer v for a flirty smokey eye.
>Groundwork-a mid-tone neutral taupe (satin) can be layered for full opacity. I go in circles with groundwork, sometimes I find myself reaching for it every day then not using it for a month, then rediscovering it all over again.
My favorite way to apply: I enjoy blending this onto my lid with winged out liner and lots of layer of mascara. Its also a great base for a darker smokey eye.
